Velvet is a fabric with a luxurious texture and appearance, characterised by its soft, velvety surface. It is a shadowed fabric, meaning it tends to shift in shade depending on the lighting. Over time, some areas of the fabric may lose their soft velvet texture – this is a natural part of the fabric’s charm and character. How to care for velvet: To refresh the fabric, use a soft-bristled brush or a handheld steamer. If any liquid is spilled, blot it immediately with an absorbent cloth – do not rub, as this may damage the fabric. Use only cleaners specifically designed for velvet or warm water with mild soap.
